Works with CasaRay
What works today—and what we still need to test.
Home Assistant connects thousands of products. CasaRay uses the controls they share, so a device can work even when its brand is not listed here. This page shows what we have tried ourselves, what we check automatically, and where we still need your help.
Tested by us
We checked this with CasaRay on a real Home Assistant setup. The row says exactly what worked.
Checked in software
Our automated checks understand the devices and controls this integration provides, but we have not tested the physical hardware ourselves.
Expected to work
It uses standard Home Assistant controls, so the basics should work. Brand-specific extras may not.
Not tested yet
We do not know yet. It may work, and we would like to hear about your setup.
What we know today
Last checked 27 August 2026 with Home Assistant 2026.8.1. We only claim the parts we actually checked. Your experience can still vary with the device model, firmware, and Home Assistant integration.
Everyday control
Most lights, switches, blinds, locks, thermostats, speakers, scenes, and automations use familiar Home Assistant controls.
light · switch · cover · lock · climate · media_player · scene · automationCasaRay can show live state and availability, place devices in the right rooms, and offer the controls Home Assistant says are available. We have not tried every device model or every physical action.
Apple Watch and CarPlay
Companion surfaces use CasaRay’s normalized home state and safety policy through the paired iPhone. They remain focused instead of reproducing the full app.
watchOS · paired iPhoneCasaRay Free includes compact status and selected manual controls. Plus adds experimental realtime Assistant voice through the paired iPhone runtime and eligible ChatGPT account.
compatible vehicle · paired iPhoneCasaRay Free provides bounded manual controls in Apple’s system templates. Plus adds the approved voice-first Assistant where available. CarPlay does not expose the full app, camera browsing, settings, or unbounded device lists.
Weather and waste
Weather and bin collections look simple, but different integrations can provide different amounts of information.
weatherapi · weatherCurrent weather, daily and hourly forecasts, and weather names in the selected language. The provider still decides how far ahead the forecast goes and which details are included.
any platform · weatherCurrent weather and daily or hourly forecasts should appear when Home Assistant provides them. If your integration sends less data, CasaRay will have less to show.
waste_collection_schedule · calendarCasaRay can find the collection calendar, load upcoming dates, and show more than one type of collection.
calendar · sensorCasaRay cannot safely tell that every calendar or sensor is for bin collections. If you use another integration, please tell us which one and what it provides.
Irrigation
CasaRay only labels a valve or switch as irrigation when Home Assistant gives us enough reliable information. That keeps unrelated garden devices out of your watering controls.
gardena_smart_systemCasaRay can find controllers and watering zones, show their state, and offer start, stop, and watering-duration controls. Our routine checks do not turn on every zone.
gardena_bluetooth · valveCasaRay understands the water valve and the open, close, stop, and position controls it can provide. We have not tried the physical hardware ourselves.
hydrawise · valveCasaRay understands watering zones, their state, and the valve controls Home Assistant provides. We have not tried the physical hardware ourselves.
rainbird · switchCasaRay understands watering zones and their start and stop controls. We have not tried the physical hardware ourselves.
rainmachine · switchCasaRay understands watering zones and programs, their state, and the controls Home Assistant provides. We have not tried the physical hardware ourselves.
rachio · switchCasaRay understands watering zones, their state, and the controls Home Assistant provides. We have not tried the physical hardware ourselves.
valve · switchYour system may appear as ordinary valves or switches, but CasaRay will not guess that a device is irrigation just from its name.
Lawn mowers and vacuums
Home Assistant gives many mowers and vacuums the same basic controls. Maps, rooms, schedules, maintenance, and advanced settings are much more brand- and model-specific.
dreame_lawn_mower · lawn_mowerCasaRay can find the mower, show its live state, offer its basic controls, and find related settings. Routine checks do not make it move. Maps and advanced settings can vary by model.
any platform · lawn_mowerYou should see the mower state and standard actions such as start, pause, and dock when Home Assistant provides them. Maps, zones, schedules, cameras, and extra settings may not appear.
dreame_vacuum · vacuumCasaRay can find the vacuum, show its live state, offer basic controls, and find related settings and maintenance information. Maps, room cleaning, and shortcuts can vary by model.
any platform · vacuumYou should see the vacuum state and standard actions provided by Home Assistant. Maps, rooms, cleaning programs, cameras, and maintenance information may not appear.
Cameras and energy
Cameras depend on stream formats and network access. Energy depends on the meters and sources you have already set up in Home Assistant.
any platform · cameraCasaRay can find cameras and see whether Home Assistant offers snapshots or live video. Actual viewing still depends on the camera provider, video format, sign-in method, and network connection.
HomeKit · iPhone, iPad, and MacSelected Apple Home cameras use Apple's protected native snapshot and live-session path. Incoming audio and talkback appear only when the accessory exposes them. Apple's recording history is not available through the public HomeKit framework.
cameraCasaRay found these camera integrations and recognized the viewing options Home Assistant reported. We have not tested every camera model, video format, live stream, or robot map that looks like a camera.
energy · sensorCasaRay can use the sources already set up in Home Assistant Energy and show solar, grid, home use, battery flow, and history. Missing or conflicting meter data can leave some totals unavailable.
goodwe · sensorSolar production, home use, grid flow, and battery values can appear when Home Assistant provides them. The exact details depend on your inverter, battery, firmware, and Home Assistant setup.
sensor · statisticsStandard power, energy, gas, and water readings should work, along with Home Assistant Energy history when configured. Provider-specific prices, forecasts, alarms, and account details may not appear.
