Snapshots for orientation, live view for attention
A camera overview should answer “which view is this?” before it spends bandwidth or fills the screen. CasaRay uses camera snapshots and a featured view to make the list readable, then opens a focused live player when selected. Stream availability and latency depend on the Home Assistant camera integration, network path, and formats the source provides.
Mute when you are already in the room
Live camera audio can clash with sound in the room or create feedback. The single-camera player therefore includes a direct mute control. In Live Wall, every stream starts muted. Each camera can be enabled independently, several streams may play audio if you choose, and Mute All returns the wall to silence immediately.
Use Live Wall when one view is not enough
On iPad and Mac, CasaRay Plus adds a multi-camera Live Wall: up to four simultaneous cameras on iPad and up to six on Mac. It is useful for entrances, outdoor areas, or a temporary security overview. It is not forced into the daily Home layout, and single-camera viewing remains available in CasaRay Free.
If a stream is unavailable or slow in CasaRay, first check the same entity in Home Assistant and verify that your Apple device can reach the selected Home Assistant URL.

Can CasaRay show a live Home Assistant camera?
Yes, when the camera and Home Assistant connection expose a compatible live stream. CasaRay can fall back to fresh snapshots when needed.
Can camera audio be muted?
Yes. Single-camera viewing includes mute control, and Live Wall starts muted with independent audio controls plus Mute All.
How many cameras can Live Wall show?
CasaRay Plus can show up to four cameras on iPad and up to six on Mac at once.
