Terms of Use

CasaRay is distributed through the Apple App Store and uses Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless CasaRay presents a separate custom EULA.

CasaRay Plus subscriptions

CasaRay Free is not time-limited. It connects one complete Home Assistant home, can optionally add selected Apple Home accessories on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and includes every device, live status and controls, camera snapshots and streams, camera activity history, Home Assistant alerts, status widgets, Apple Watch and bounded CarPlay controls, and everyday personalization. CasaRay Plus is an auto-renewable subscription that adds multi-camera Live Wall, searchable notification history and rules, Home Assistant dashboards inside CasaRay, advanced navigation and dashboard placement, and—in eligible storefronts—the experimental Assistant, including voice through the paired iPhone on Apple Watch and CarPlay.

If CasaRay Plus expires or is cancelled, the Free features above remain available. Plus-only surfaces become unavailable until the subscription is active again. The App Store shows the current local price, billing period, renewal terms, trial or introductory offer status when applicable, and cancellation options before purchase. CasaRay does not sell CasaRay Plus through any other store or web checkout.

Subscription management

Subscriptions are billed by Apple through the App Store. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings. Refund requests, billing issues, renewals, and cancellations are handled by Apple.

Experimental Assistant

Assistant is available only in storefronts where the underlying OpenAI service is supported and is unavailable in the mainland China storefront. CasaRay uses the current App Store storefront reported by Apple for this product-availability decision. The remaining Free and non-AI Plus features continue to work there.

CasaRay Assistant is an experimental CasaRay Plus feature. It can use chat, realtime voice, selected images, normalized home context, diagnostic tools, the control permissions you configure, and optional public web search when you enable it. Natural language, transcription, search sources, and generated responses can be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or wrong. Review transcripts, requested actions, confirmations, source links, and reported device state. Do not rely on Assistant as the only way to perform a safety-critical, security-critical, medical, emergency, or time-sensitive action.

Assistant requires a separately eligible ChatGPT account. CasaRay Plus does not include, sell, or guarantee a ChatGPT subscription, OpenAI credits, a particular model or voice, a fixed usage allowance, or uninterrupted access. OpenAI controls account eligibility, workspace permissions, models, voices, limits, service availability, and the continued availability of the interfaces CasaRay uses. The feature may change, be limited, become temporarily unavailable, or be removed if CasaRay can no longer provide it safely or OpenAI changes or withdraws the underlying service.

ChatGPT authorization and Assistant processing are provided by OpenAI and are subject to the terms, privacy policy, workspace policy, and data controls that apply to the account you authorize. CasaRay never receives the password entered in OpenAI's browser. You can sign out, reauthorize, or change the ChatGPT account in Assistant Settings.

Home actions and responsibility

Assistant can request only the normalized tools exposed by CasaRay. CasaRay applies your room, device-category, confirmation, and safety settings before sending an action to Home Assistant. These safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee that speech, device naming, provider state, Home Assistant behavior, or a generated plan will always match your intent. Keep manual CasaRay and Home Assistant controls available and verify important results.
